Sound familiar?

Your library deserves better than a broken spreadsheet.

Spreadsheets that break. Paper logs that vanish. Systems built decades ago that nobody understands anymore — and nobody has time to fix.

The people keeping libraries alive — teachers, librarians, administrators — deserve tools that work as hard as they do.

📋

"Who borrowed this book?"

Nobody knows. The spreadsheet was last updated three months ago, and the paper log is missing a page.

⏱️

Hours lost tracking returns

Cross-referencing names, dates, and titles manually. Every return is a small investigation that shouldn't need to exist.

🔧

Legacy software nobody can figure out

Built in 2003, last updated in 2011, running on a machine that can't be turned off. You know the one.

Everything your library needs

Powerful tools.
Zero learning curve.

📚

Add, edit, search — in seconds.

Add books manually or scan an ISBN and let Libora pull the title, author, and cover from Open Library and Google Books automatically. No typing, no guessing.

What we believe

Built with a point of view.

Clarity over complexity

Powerful doesn't mean complicated. Every feature in Libora is there because it makes your life easier, not because it was easy to build.

Community first

Libraries are people, not shelves. Libora is built around the relationships between books, borrowers, and the communities that share them.

Respect for time

Set up in an afternoon. Mastered in a week. Your time is spent reading and sharing books, not figuring out software.

Knowledge should be free

Open by design. Libora integrates with Open Library and Google Books because knowledge belongs to everyone, and so does access to it.

Progress without disruption

Grow at your own pace. Start with ten books and a handful of members, or import a thousand. Libora scales quietly alongside you.

David · Builder of Libora · Kecskemét, Hungary

"I'm not a developer. I just refused to believe that was a good enough reason not to build this."

The story behind Libora

It started with
a bookshelf.

There was a shared bookshelf at work. People borrowed from it, sometimes returned to it, and nobody quite knew where anything was. Someone asked if there was a system. There was — a spreadsheet. Three years out of date.

I'm not a developer. I knew that clearly. But I also knew that a spreadsheet was not a system, that the problem was real, and that somewhere between "I can't" and "I won't try" there was a door worth opening.

So I started building. Weekends. Quiet evenings in Kecskemét. I asked questions I didn't know how to answer, learned things I didn't expect to learn, and slowly — something real emerged. Not perfect. But real.

Libora is still a one-person project. Not forever. But for now, it's built with the same care I'd want from any tool I rely on — honest, purposeful, and made to last.

— David, Builder of Libora
